What the font is a new service offered by myfonts.com. What the font service tries to identify to figure out what font is used in a particular picture to help you to use the exact same font or very similar one in your projects. To test the service I uploaded a brand logo to the service and it divided the letters one by one and tried to identify each letter individually. In my test, what the font service was not so successful in identifying i character and the service divided it to 2 different character. But At the end of identifying process, what the font service gave me 11 results for the font used in this logo. So the probability was fine and I am quite happy with what the fontfont identifying service in picture. If you see a great font in a picture, just give this service a try to find out what is that font or at least to get a narrowed list of possibilities about that font.

The similar project also offered by what font is website. Again I uploaded the same brand logo to this service. You should identify each character here by yourself manually here since what font is service doesn’t recognize any of the characters automatically. What font is service also failed to recognize i character and divided “i” into 2 different character (ı and .). What the font is service gave 100 alternatives for the probability of fonts used on that logo. Although wide range of alternatives are provided, I am not so happy with the results since the results seems to not narrowed enough, and none of them was close to the logo in the picture

Both services are highly new and in near future I am sure there will be new alternatives and better improvement to those two. So just give them a try to identify some fonts hidden in pictures and see the result yourself and use that fonts in your projects.
